The US$202 million PPP package for a 50km section of Indonesia’s Trans Papua Toll Road will boost transport. The deal for the Mamberamo-Elelim stretch of the Trans Papua Toll Road was awarded by Indonesia's Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing.

The deal involves construction, operation and maintenance of this Mamberamo-Elelim section of the Jayapura-Wamena toll road, itself a port of the Trans Papua Toll Road.

The package has been guaranteed by Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia (PII). The deal also includes maintenance work for the slopes and cuttings alongside the route as well as bridge construction, maintenance of the route for 13 years and the installation of vehicle weighing systems.
